At J$ Cattle Company we know that it takes more than a lifetime to become a great horseman and without learning from others we cannot reach our full potential. Jesse and Jody have each spent time riding and learning from a variety of horsemen. If we don’t know something we make it a point to find someone that does know and learn from them.
Growing up on the back of a horse Jody and Jesse both learned at an early age the value of hard work and follow through that it takes to get the job done. We live by the philosophy that “the surest way not to fail is to determine to succeed”. We are primarily based in beautiful Western Colorado, but can be found anywhere in the country throughout the year on the rodeo trail. |
At J$ Cattle Company we feel you should be able to rope, ranch, hunt, shoot and race on every horse regardless of their main discipline. We don’t limit our riding to the arena, horses at J$ are used around the ranch for day to day work such as irrigating, gathering cattle and fixing fences, they are even used to catch dinner on when we go fishing! Every horse we have can run barrels, rope, ranch, irrigate and be packed on-the main goal is to get the job done and get home safely.
Weather you are looking for a tune up, colt starting, roping or barrel racing work at J$ we do it all! We don’t preach a certain bit, we don’t try to fit all horses into a mold, we try to bring out each horse’s special skills and help them develop in their own way.
